Chilling at Washington Harbor
Today we’re out at Washington Harbor, and honestly, the vibe here is immaculate. You can see the harbor right behind me, with a huge American flag waving proudly in the background. The family brought me out today – my brother and his wife – and we’re just here to explore, relax, eat, drink, and enjoy the moment.
From MGM Casino to Harbor Views
We’ve just come from the MGM Casino, and now the sun is starting to set. It’s late-ish in the day, but that’s honestly the best time to be out here. People are cycling, walking around, laughing, enjoying the weather – the whole area feels calm, lively, and very welcoming.
The last few days have been full-on with Fourth of July celebrations:
Fireworks at the boardwalk
A proper family cookout
Plenty of relaxing, vibing, and living in the moment
I didn’t record much during those days because… sometimes you’ve just got to put the camera down and enjoy life. Today is another chill day, and Washington Harbor is the perfect place for that.
Exploring the Strip (AKA the High Street)
We made our way onto what I’d call the high street – or “the strip” if you’re not from the UK. It’s busy, full of life, and very tourist-friendly. Bars, restaurants, little shops, music in the air – this is definitely one of those places you just wander around without a plan.
First stop? Crumbl Cookies.
I’ve never seen Katie move so fast in my life 😂
Along the way, we spotted:
Random but cool statues
Musicians playing classical instruments
Chill bars like Irish pubs and tap houses
A literal Cadillac just sitting there like it’s normal
Peak tourist mode activated, and I’m not even mad about it.
Inside the Gaylord Hotel
We headed into the Gaylord Hotel, and wow – the inside is beautiful. The flooring, the open space, the atmosphere… it really feels like one of those places where something is always happening.
Turns out there was a North American Irish Dance Championship going on, which made the whole experience even more interesting. Totally unexpected, but very cool to see.
Outside, there’s a lovely chill-out area with:
A waterfall
A nearby park
People relaxing in chairs, watching the sunset
Whether those chairs belong to the hotel or the people, I don’t know – but everyone looked happy, relaxed, and unbothered.
Sunset Vibes & Crumbl Cookies Review
As the sun started setting, the harbor got busy. Everyone had the same idea: come down, enjoy the view, take photos, and soak up the golden hour.
Now… let’s talk about the Crumbl Cookies because I know that’s what people really want to know.
We tried three flavors:
1. Fourth of July M&M’s Cookie
Sweet, with chocolate M&M vibes
A little too sweet for my taste
Rating: 5–6/10
2. Benson Boone “Moon Cake” Cookie
Softer base
Buttery icing
Slight blueberry/bubblegum vibe
Rich, but very enjoyable
Rating: 8/10
3. Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie
Simple, reliable, no surprises
Easy to eat more of
Rating: 7/10
Final verdict:
The Moon Cake cookie wins, but it might get sickly if you eat too much. The chocolate chip is the safest option. The Fourth of July cookie? You can skip it unless you love super-sweet treats.
Wrapping Up the Day
After exploring the harbor, chilling by the water, and doing a proper tourist walk-around, we headed back toward the casino. No promises of gambling… but there were drinks and chicken wings involved 👀
All in all, Washington Harbor is a perfect sunset spot:
Relaxed
Scenic
Great food options
Ideal for wandering with no plan
If you ever find yourself in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out.
